Sayed Sharif Razi (970-1015 CE) was a prominent Islamic scholar and the original compiler of Nahjul Balagha. Born in Baghdad, he was a descendant of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (AS) and served as the chief judge of Baghdad. His compilation of Nahjul Balagha, completed in the 10th century, remains one of the most important collections of Imam Ali's (AS) sermons, letters, and sayings. The work is considered a masterpiece of Arabic literature and Islamic scholarship, preserving the eloquence and wisdom of Imam Ali (AS) for future generations.
English Translator
Sayed Ali Reza was a distinguished translator and former secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan. His translation 'Nahjul Balagha = Peak of Eloquence' was first published in 1984 by Tahrike Tarsile Quran in New York and is considered one of the most authoritative English translations.
